This followed allegations that he raped his 34-year-old girlfriend. Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, who speaks for the Harare provincial police, has confirmed the arrest [1, 3]. According to Inspector Chakanza, "Police have arrested a Borrowdale man for raping his girlfriend" [1, 3]. Inspector Chakanza also noted that the woman was at home with her children when the alleged rape occurred [1, 3]. Her maid had already left for the day [1, 3]. Inspector Chakanza stated, "The accused pinned the victim against the wall and raped her once. She was later taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical examinations" [1, 3].
