The post holder will be responsible for building web applications using both object orientated and low code systems. Main duties of the job Use mark-up languages to create user-friendly web applications. Maintain and improve trust-wide web applications. Optimize applications for maximum speed.Design multi platform features for those web applications.Collaborate with other developers to improve usability and intergrate applications with other systems. Get feedback from, and build solutions for, various internal stakeholders. Write functional requirement documents and guides. Create quality mock-ups and prototypes. Help database developers with coding and troubleshooting. Ensure high quality graphic standards and data consistency. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies. Person Specification Education, Knowledge, and Experience Essential Educated to degree level in a computer related discipline, or equivalent work experience in software development Evidence of substantial software development experience in the full software development lifecycle Skills and Aptitudes Essential A logical approach to investigating, analysing and resolving data and programming problems. Detailed knowledge of relational database design and implementation (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Dataverse) An understanding of how applications/systems can integrate using REST APIs. Desirable Knowledge of low code application development using MS Power Platform Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI. Proficient database management and querying skills with a proven ability to write stored procedures, functions and triggers. Robust system and unit testing experience, producing relevant test documentation.
