Losing one’s sight isn’t just about blurred vision; it’s about losing the ability to read, to move freely, to recognise the faces of loved ones. But for eight elderly patients referred from the Model #sebaashray Camp at Bishnupur, that struggle has ended. Today, at Renuka Eye Institute, they underwent free cataract surgeries. For them, it’s the first time in years they can watch the world come alive again. And for me, their smiles, no longer masked by uncertainty, are a testament to why Sebaashray exists in the first place. This isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about the small, quiet victories that change lives forever.
