Yesterday, in Lok Sabha, I clinically dissected the Union Budget, laying bare the STARK NEGLECT OF PUBLIC HEALTHCARE. India, a nation of 140 crore people, spends just 3% of its GDP on healthcare, trailing far behind China’s 5% and the USA’s 16%. For a country of this scale, this is not just inadequate, it is an OUTRIGHT BETRAYAL.
100% FDI in insurance? APPROVED. 18% GST on health insurance? UNCHANGED. Public hospital infrastructure? OVERLOOKED. This is not healthcare reform; this is a RIGGED GAME, designed to serve profit over people. But against this apathy, Diamond Harbour is proving that an alternative model exists – one rooted in SERVICE, not profiteering.
👉🏻 Today, the 34 Health Camps in Metiabruz served 12,104 INDIVIDUALS.
👉🏻 8,945 PATIENTS underwent critical health screenings.
👉🏻 12,488 PATIENTS received free medicines.
👉🏻 45 CRITICAL CASES were identified and referred for advanced care.
At Diamond Harbour, we are SETTING AN EXAMPLE for the rest of the country to follow!
