Do the right thing I Samuel 20:[4] So Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you yourself desire, I will do it for you.” NKJV Lord, I want to thank you for yesterday's message. I was liberated from living in sin thinking that I was doing the right thing. Forgive me and my family for the many years we have lived under the control of Inherited anger. Many times we have fallen short of your glory because of other people's sins. Inheriting that which did not belong to us. You are God, your mercies are unlimited. Gives us a fresh start, Lord. In Jesus's name, amen. Whenever God points out any area of concern to someone, He also gives a remedy. When he made it clear his disappointment with Adam and Eve, he gave them a remedy. He chased them out of the garden of Eden. However, he clothed them first. Remember, these two were carrying the image of God. God covered them for his namesake. That is why I love Jesus. John 3:16. Listen, don't wait for a level playing field, the Devil will not allow that. God gave us a remedy for defeating inherited anger. The remedy is to simply be yourself. Listen church, there has to be someone different. No matter the situation in your family, be the one to bring the presence of God in the family. Jonathan saw and proved that his father (King Saul) was the wrong one. King Saul’s hatred for David had no proof, and there was no justification. Jonathan took a bold decision not to align himself with his father, but David. That decision had serious consequences, but who said holiness was a free gift? OMG, omg, help me Jesus. Holiness is never a free gift. King Saul when he discovered which side his own son was aligned to, he stopped sharing information with him. But, to prove that his actions were for good intentions, Jonathan did not leave his father till the end. Keeping your distance does not make you holier than them. It even makes you a hypocrite. Jesus never left us on a holy island. Read John 17. Look at Rahab the harlot, though she knew that Israel was a dangerous threat to their own existence, she refused to inherit the anger of the city. She helped the spies escape. Do the right thing regardless of the consequences. How can we prove to the world that we have Jesus on our side when we play their own music? Let go of anger. Your parents died with bitterness overshadowing their lives. You can't inherit that. There are too many better things to inherit in life and from the kingdom of God. If you want to see that you have grown in spiritual matters, look at yourself in the spiritual mirror. Is the image satisfying? The word of God is our spiritual mirror. Turn the lights on. You are delaying yourself. Where you are now, is not where you are supposed to be. For forty years, Israel went round and round in the wilderness. They even fought wars and won them, but still they could not cross the Jordan river. How many opportunities have died in the wilderness because you inherited a negative report? If you and I want to win wars, let us keep our hearts clean. Move every undesirable element from your heart to the trash bin and click the permanent delete button.
