Namaste and Happy New Year! 🙏🏽 Thanks to your support, here’s a look at what Peepal Farm Animal Rescue accomplished in the last quarter of 2024: *Animal Care and Sterilization:* • Rescued and cared for 352 animals between October and December. • Sterilized 218 animals in our area (mostly dogs, some cats), preventing the birth of 21,800 puppies. • Organized a dog sterilization camp in Bir, where 57 female dogs were spayed, preventing an additional 5,700 births. *Adoptions and Ongoing Care:* • Found loving homes for 8 animals. • Currently caring for 161 animals - a. 97 recovering animals (including 38 sterilized dogs). b. 44 long-term residents. c. 21 animals awaiting adoption. Beyond this, we did an anti rabies vaccination camp (322 dogs) in Chamba, Himachal. We also got a brand new X-ray machine in donation, which will be operational in 2 weeks as we are still waiting to acquire a lead partition to operate it safely. *Financial Highlights:* We received ₹59.5 lakhs in donations, including ₹20 lakhs from a grant for Ultrasound Machine. Here's how these funds were utilized: * Staff Salaries: ₹16.88 lakhs * Medicine: ₹7.00 lakhs * Food: ₹3.94 lakhs * Transportation: ₹1.20 lakhs * Insurance and Other Staff Welfare: ₹0.98 lakhs * Construction and Maintenance: ₹3.71 lakhs * Rubber mats for Sanctuary: ₹0.71 lakhs * Advance payment towards a used ambulance: ₹0.63 lakhs * Loan Repayment: ₹4.95 lakhs (fully repaid, including interest and closing charges) We had started with ₹5.00 lakhs in our bank account, and at the end of the quarter, we have ₹13.90 lakhs in our bank account. Out of this, ₹10.00 lakhs are earmarked for the balance payment of the ultrasound machine, once the final approval from CMO comes in hopefully next month. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
