Free Graduate Employability Enhancement Training at KKHSOU Guwahati, January 25, 2025: Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) has launched an 80-hour Graduate Employability Enhancement Training (GEET) programme today at its City Campus in Khanapara, Guwahati. Designed exclusively for learners and alumni of the university, this free training programme aims to equip participants with market-relevant skills to improve their employability prospects. The training is being offered in collaboration with Learnet Skills Limited, New Delhi. A unique blended-learning approach has been adopted, with 70% of the training delivered online and 30% through offline sessions. The programme covers vital skill areas including: Professional Communication, Cracking Interviews, Customer Engagement, Domain Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Digital Fluency and Sales Mastery. The inaugural session began today at 11:00 AM and was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Prof. R.P. Das, Vice Chancellor of KKHSOU, and Prof. Pranab Saikia from the university. Special guests included Ms. Nivedita Barthakur, Vice President and Zonal Head of Learnet and Schoolnet India Ltd., and Ms. Iram Hasan, HRM & Instructional Design Specialist from Learnet Skills, New Delhi. A total of 60 participants have registered for the training, and the first batch of candidates will be selected through a screening test. KKHSOU has been at the forefront of skill development and employability initiatives. This programme aligns with the university's collaborations with organizations such as NCVET, New Delhi, CEMCA, New Delhi and Learnet Skills Limited. Through such efforts, KKHSOU seeks to create a skilled workforce in the region, positioning itself as a leader in enhancing employment opportunities for its learners. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering skill development and creating a talent pool that meets the demands of the modern job market.
