Dear Sir/Madam,
As per UIDAI directions:
1. Aadhaar Data Vault (ADV) has to be implemented in line with the guidelines issued by UIDAI.
2. Aadhaar number should not be visible in plaintext when CBS application is accessed front end i.e. from end user access point.
To achieve the same we have implemented Aadhaar vaulting in CRM, and the following are the changes the branches will notice in CRM:
While creation of a new customer ID, branch user will enter Aadhaar in plaintext and upon submit/verification of CIF, the Aadhaar number will be converted to a vault number.
( This vault number will be unique for every unique Aadhaar number)
While modification of newly opened customer ID in CRM, branch users will notice that Aadhaar number is present in vault form i.e. a hexadecimal code. Aadhaar number in plaintext will no more be visible from frontend application.
While modification of CIFs where Aadhaar number is present in original form, upon submission the same will be converted to vault number.
In case the branch users require to know the original Aadhaar number (for various branch operations) the same can be checked in ADHAREF menu.
This menu has option to inquire both vault number and Aadhaar number as per the given input.
De-duplication will be present for both Aadhaar number and vault number i.e. Finacle application will block addition of same Aadhaar/vault number in more than 1 CIF.
We request the branches and zonal Offices to be guided accordingly.
Thanks, and Regards,
