One frequently asked Question :
Q: *When adult rumen flukes* are *non- pathogenic*, is it necessary to administer dewormer against adult Rumen flukes ?
Ans : *Though egg-laying adults* are *non- pathogenic*, they lay *eggs* which becomes *infective Metacercaria* under certain favourable conditions which may be *ingested* while grazing by *same sheep/goat* or by others # After ingestion, *the Immature Amphistome* phase which may last for 4-20 weeks is *most dangerous* if unattended @ *Undrstanding the LC is important to break it*
Hence @ whenever, *on Post Mortem*, adult Rumen flukes are noticed in Rumen, *do advise suitable dewormer*# but, FEC is must
*Oxyclozanide* is effective against *Mature Rumen flukes* ( for Immature flukes also )
