*Zomi Students' Federation Raises Key Issues in Meeting with Manipur Chief Secretary* _Lamka, February 17, 2025_ The Zomi Students' Federation (ZSF) held a crucial meeting with the Chief Secretary of Manipur to discuss various student and youth-related issues. The key points raised during the meeting are as follows: 1. *Pharmacology Students* • Arrangement of online DPEE exams for students of government pharmacology institute. • Redressal of grievances for students of private institutes, namely Saraswati and Kangleipak institutes, who were all failed and those who have back papers. • Issue of backlog in admission and seats for students as no new students have been admitted since the 2022 batch. • Establishment of a pharmacology institute in Churachandpur. 2. *Nursing Students* • Financial package for displaced nursing students who have to pay fees at both their old institutes in Imphal and at their new institutes where they have continued their studies. 3. *Board Exams* • Fairness in the conduct of the exams. • Evaluation of answer papers in Churachandpur and other hill districts, in particular for MIL answer papers. 4. *Churachandpur Medical College* • Early completion of the permanent campus at Mata Village. • Appointment of a new director from a neutral community. • Make CMC fully functional before the 4th renewal inspection in 2026. 5. *Exam Centers* • Conduct of all exams in Churachandpur so that job aspirants and students do not need to travel to other states. 6. *Higher Education* • Placement of all displaced faculty and staff of MU and DMU in government colleges in Churachandpur. • Initiation of higher education (masters and above) in government colleges in Churachandpur.
