Dear respected HoDs of Institutes / Departments / Centres, University of Sindh, Jamshoro *Postponement of Central Orientation Day 2025 & the conduct of Departmental Celebration on February 20, 2025.* Dear Sir/Madam, In light of the recent notifications by the Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro as well as Government of Sindh regarding public holidays on Monday and Wednesday, the University of Sindh has decided to postpone the centralized Orientation Day event scheduled for February 18, 2025 at Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Chair & Convention Center, Jamshoro. The new date of the central orientation will be announced later. Keeping in view the importance of welcoming and guiding the new batch of students for the academic year 2025, all HoDs of Institutes, Departments, and Centers are hereby requested to conduct the Orientation Day within their respective departments on *Thursday, February 20, 2025*. This departmental-level orientation will ensure that all students receive the necessary academic and administrative guidance within their respective fields of study. Each Institute, Department, and Center is responsible for: • Organizing an orientation session within their premises on February 20, 2025. • Introducing faculty members, academic guidelines, and institutional facilities to the new students. • Providing necessary information regarding student services, scholarships, and university regulations. • Ensuring that all new students are well-acquainted with their academic environment. Furthermore, all HoDs of Institutes, Departments, and Centers are required to submit a report to the Registrar’s Office acknowledging the successful conduction of their respective Orientation Day sessions.
