Indira Miri School of Education of the University in collaboration with Jharkhand State Open University, successfully organized a National Webinar on “Managing Time and Learner Engagement in Distance Education” on Monday, 17th February 2025. The two-hour online session, held from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, saw active participation from faculty members, officers, study centre coordinators, academic counsellors, and learners from across the country. The webinar featured two distinguished resource persons: 1. Prof. (Dr.) Anirban Ghosh, Director, CIQA, Netaji Subhas Open University, Kolkata, delivered an engaging talk on "Managing Time and Learner Engagement in Distance Education." 2. Prof. (Dr.) Nripendra Narayan Sarma, Professor in Management, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, provided valuable insights on "Enhancing Student Engagement in ODL/Online Learning." The sessions were interactive, providing participants with strategies to effectively manage time and enhance learner engagement in the context of distance education. The event also emphasized best practices for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online education, ensuring an enriching experience for attendees.
