Israel bussed dozens of freed Palestinian prisoners held at the notorious Ofer detention center to Ramallah, Occupied West Bank, during the early hours of February 27. This prisoner release is part of the delayed seventh batch of the first phase of the ceasefire deal brokered between Hamas and Israel. Hundreds of Palestinian detainees beyond those released in Ramallah are set to be released within this batch, throughout the West Bank and Gaza. Family members greeted their loved ones returning from imprisonment. The crowd was filled with keffiyehs and chanters saying, “God is the greatest” in Arabic.
