Pastor Samuel Avornyo, the Children's Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, has commended Madam Doris, a Sunday School teacher living with a disability in the Dodi District of the Hohoe Area, for her dedication to children's ministry.
Madam Doris's commitment gained attention when her District Minister, Overseer Daniel Vaeta, shared a Facebook post depicting her teaching children under trees, highlighting her resilience despite challenging conditions.
During the 2024 End-of-Year Meeting at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh, Pastor Avornyo acknowledged her remarkable efforts and urged leaders and children's workers to draw inspiration from her example.
He emphasized the importance of perseverance in ministry, regardless of circumstances.
In recognition of her service, Pastor Avornyo presented Madam Doris with a monetary gift through Overseer Vaeta. Additionally, he extended an invitation for her to attend the 2025 Foundation Builders' Conference, the annual national gathering for children's workers in the church, scheduled for July.
The Foundation Builders' Conference aims to equip children's workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively minister to the younger generation.
