*NUGS Suspends Planned Demonstration Against WAEC* The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has suspended its planned protest against WAEC, originally set for Tuesday, 25th February 2025, over the withholding of results. This decision follows an emergency meeting with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and WAEC officials, where WAEC assured that all pending results would be released by 1st March 2025. NUGS will monitor WAEC’s compliance and take further action if the deadline is not met. Additionally, NUGS has been invited to propose reforms on handling examination malpractice cases. The union urges students, parents, and stakeholders to remain calm while efforts continue to ensure fairness in the education system.
