This evening, I laid the foundation stone for Narayana Health City. On this auspicious occasion, I extend heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to our esteemed guests and the Narayana Group family. I am especially grateful to Dr. Devi Shetty for placing his trust in us and taking this significant step in Bengal. At the last Bengal Global Business Summit, Dr. Shetty promised to invest in Bengal, and today he is fulfilling that promise by building a health centre that will serve as a centre of excellence with a capacity of 1100 beds. A new feather has been added to Bengal’s crown in healthcare. This dream of establishing a health centre has been realized with HIDCO providing 7.20 acres of land, for which I am deeply grateful. In the coming days, this institution will create employment opportunities for over 10,000 people. Our government has ushered in a new era in healthcare by launching initiatives such as Swasthya Sathi, Sishu Sathi, and Chokher Alo, all aimed at providing free healthcare services to the common people. Additionally, at PG Hospital, we have introduced a compassionate initiative called Madhur Sneha for newborns who have lost their mothers. Our government remains committed to serving all people, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.
