Authorities have uncovered a partially assembled bomb in the outskirts of Rabat following the dismantling of a terrorist cell with links to the ISIS affiliate in Africa. The device, consisting of a gas canister connected to pipes and electrical wires, was discovered in a rural area near Ain Aouda, on the outskirts of Rabat. According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the bomb-making materials were found buried under piles of dirt in the Sidi Larbi area. The discovery was made based on information obtained during the interrogation of members of the dismantled cell, who were arrested in the nearby city of Tamesna. The finding underscores the ongoing threat posed by extremist groups and the importance of continued vigilance in the fight against terrorism. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the intended target of the bomb and to identify any other potential threats.
