Police officers in the city of Fez arrested, on Monday, in coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), seven individuals on suspicion of involvement in a case of fraud and forgery, as well as attacks on automated digital data processing systems. A security source said that the suspects, aged between 26 and 47, had swindled several victims under the pretext of intervening on their behalf to obtain appointments for visa applications to travel abroad. Investigations led to the identification and arrest of the suspects, the same source added. The suspects were taken into custody for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to unveil the ins and outs of this case.
