From the mutiny in Vellore in 1806, India's First War of Independence in 1857 to the Naval Mutiny of 1946 that shook British rule to its core, India and , in addition to the doctrine of Ahimsa, has had a glorious tradition of armed revolt against occupation and injustice. It is to commemorate this spirit of revolution that we, the Centre for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Studies and Research are pleased to open the submissions for entries into our inaugural newsletter '𝐊𝐫ā𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐠ā𝐭𝐡ā', on the theme- '𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦: 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞'. ⁣ ⁣ With a vision of bringing to popular discourse the less talked about aspects of India's Freedom Struggle, and to inculcate an academic vigour and intellectual culture, we hope to receive immense participation, with the intent of highlighting the bravery, valour and priceless contribution of revolutionaries in India's struggle for Freedom. ⁣ ⁣ 𝟏.
