Partners for Life! #teamunf recently gave a group plasma donation at the Canadian Blood Services Plasma Donor Centre in St. Catharines, officially joining the Partners for Life program.🤝 UNF is now one of more than 4,000 organizations that’ve pledged to support patients throughout Canada by donating blood or plasma, joining the stem cell registry, becoming organ and tissue donors, and much more. 🩸 Did you know that just one patient requires more than 100 plasma donations for a year of treatment? Because of its role in managing many different medical conditions, the demand for plasma in Canada is four times greater than what is being collected. 💡 By simply coming together and rolling up their sleeves, these incredible members of the UNF community contributed to 50 lifesaving treatments and helped supply 730 hospitals and clinics across the country. 🏥 It’s yet another example of the university’s commitment to making an impact on and off campus. 🤩
