Since its establishment in 2003, AAZ has been dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty and social injustice while promoting gender equality. The organization upholds strong child protection policies and measures against sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse. AAZ also adopts an intersectional feminist approach to safeguarding, acknowledging the interconnectedness of various forms of abuse and oppression that impact vulnerable groups. Globally, ActionAid operates in over 40 countries.
