*Sweet Potato Weevil Management.* 1. *Control sweet Potato Weevil Host plants.* Sweet Potato Weevil attack other plants in the sweet potato family, including morning glory (Ipomoea). Managing morning glory (Ipomoea) in sweet potato is difficult because they belong to one family. Herbicide that will effectively control morning glory will damage sweet potato. An option is to use *Tornado 540®* (3 l/ha) before planting of sweet potato. 2. *Use Insecticides.* *a). Solution 1* Planting materials (vines) are dipped into *Tanrek 500* insecticide prior to planting, which delay pest infestation for several months. Mix *Tanrek 500* (0,4 ml/1L or 4ml/10L water). Soak vines for 15 minutes, drain and then plant. *b). Solution 2* Apply *Tanrek 500®* as a soil drench at root zone immediately after planting or a day after transplanting. Mix 7ml *Tanrek 500®* with 20L of water and apply 100ml of this mixture to the soil around the base of the stem of each plant. Repeat when needed (usually 28 days after) at the base of the plant. *C). Solution 3:* Spray with *Diperall* and or *Borey* if damage occurs at the crown area of the vines (i.e., the part just above ground level).
