This is interesting. In 2013, the BBC Trust dismissed complaints against the BBC for translating the Arabic word for ‘Jew’ as ‘Israeli’, despite concerns that this whitewashed antisemitism. But apparently, the Chairman of the BBC Trust who made the ruling in 2013 was Alison Hastings, while the other trustees were David Liddiment, Richard Ayre, Sonita Alleyne and Bill Matthews. According to The Telegraph, Mr Liddiment was previously a founding member and creative director of All3Media. All3Media is the international distributor of – you guessed it – ‘Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone’, the so-called documentary at the heart of the current BBC scandal over bias and terrorism.
