This tiny park was constructed in Nagaizumi Town, Japan in 1988 and officially designated as a city park on 25 December 2024.
It was built after a staff member of the Nagaizumi Town Hall visited Oregon, USA in 1988 and was inspired to construct the smallest park after seeing Mills End Park, in the city of Portland which previously held this record. Mills End Park first appeared in the 1970 Guinness World Records book.
