*Kuki-Zo means only the Kuki tribe amongst the Zo people!* Kuki-Zo is not an inappropriate term. Rather, it serves as a collective identity created to foster unity, significantly impacting the ideology of the Kuki tribe. This designation specifically refers to the Kuki tribe within the Zo ethnic groups, excluding the Hmar and Zomi. That is why, its acceptance is highly contentious. That's the reason behind why Kuki people are pushing themselves to Kuki-Zo as an inclusiveness and wanting to be the elder brother of all communities. Kuki-Zo is not the thing that binds us. Kuki is just a tribe of the Zo ethnic groups. Moreover, you'll keep on seeing Kuki words only everywhere because Kuki-Zo is an unwanted term by the kukis itself! Kuki-Zo is not accepted, it was accepted by the forged signatories by the ITLF and Kuki tribe leaders. Zomi nation leaders didn't sign anything on Kuki-Zo.
