HRSG is currently hiring for the following position Position Name: CHEF (FOR RESIDENCE OF INTERNATIONAL CLIENT) Job Types: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 6 months SALARY=120K-130K CITY=ISLAMABAD Event Planning, Menu Planning and Food Preparation Responsible for delivery of catering services for the official residence · Work with House manager and residence staff in the preparation and delivery of all residence events · Plan the food offer for all events taking place at the residence · Prepare costed menus in advance for approval for events taking dietary requirements and food availability into consideration. · Plan weekly menus using locally available seasonal ingredients. · Procure/purchase foodstuffs for the residence, maintaining accurate accounts. Food Preparation & Cooking, hygiene and food handling: Responsible for food preparation and cooking at the Residence. · Preparation and cooking of local and international dishes to a high-quality professional standard. · Maintain a broad cooking repertoire of appetisers, canapes, entrees, deserts, cakes & pastries · Presentation of visually appealing and appetising food for public events. Hygiene and food handling Responsible for maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene at all times; · Ensuring high levels of health and safety in food handling, preparation and storage · Storing food appropriately and manage utilisation in line with use-by guidelines · Responsible for cleaning and maintaining a hygienic kitchen. Essential Requirements: 1. Experience: Well-developed culinary skills with demonstrable record of accomplishment in cooking local and international dishes to a professional standard in similar executive, home or diplomatic premises. Professional qualification will be a distinct advantage. 2. Skills: Passion for cooking and an interest in continually broadening and improving repertoire. Ability to speak and read English and Urdu 3. Abilities: Team player with good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in planning and delivering events. Well-organised and ability to work under pressure. Strong Inter-cultural skills and dealing with people from different backgrounds are also required.
