1. *Incubation period*: Time between infection and first symptoms.
2. *Extrinsic incubation period*: Time between arthropod infection and becoming infectious.
3. *Intrinsic incubation period*: Time between human infection and symptom onset.
4. *Minimum incubation period*: Minimum time between infection and symptoms.
5. *Maximum incubation period*: Maximum time between infection and symptoms (duration for quarantine).
6. *Serial interval*: Time between primary case and secondary case symptom onset.
7. *Generation time*: Time between infection and achieving maximal infectivity.
