I lost my father when I was 9. Too young to understand everything, but old enough to feel the void.
For as long as I can remember, I told myself—when the time comes, I’ll be the dad I never got to have.
But nothing could prepare me for how much fatherhood would change me. It’s not just about providing or protecting. It’s about being present. It’s about breaking cycles, creating moments, and showing love in ways I didn’t get to experience long enough.
Every day, I’m learning. Every day, I remind myself—I’m not just raising a son; I’m becoming the man I always wished was still there for me.
Fatherhood didn’t just give me a child. It gave me purpose. And for that, I am forever grateful.
