Full Time Monday-Friday.This is a pivotal role and is required to support the lung cancer team to coordinate the pathway for patients with cancer. You will be key to ensuring that cancer standards are met by proactively managing the patient pathway to ensure that patients receive their treatment in a timely and efficient way. This will involve liaising with clinical and administrative teams, both within the Trust and tertiary centres to coordinate appointments, investigations, and treatment. You will be communicating with patients and family members at a very challenging time, an empathetic, patient manner is required.In addition, you will provide administrative support to the team and ensure all data requirements are collected and inputted onto the relevant database. Main duties of the job Participate in patient and public involvement activities to promote the service including awareness and promotional events outside of the centre. Present / attend cancer conferences locally and regionally as required. Organise the day to running of the service, organising meetings, bookings rooms, responding to email enquiries. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and clinical guidelines for self and others.
