Nine years ago today, he made his debut and set the stage for something special. Van Gaal’s squad was in crisis; 13 injuries, Martial out in the warm-up ; so Rashy got his shot. And what a debut: a brace, becoming United’s youngest European scorer.
From there, it was non-stop. Another brace against Arsenal, a Derby winner, and goals in both domestic cups and for England. EA even had to sketch up Alex Hunter.
Now at Villa in 2025, but his United legacy? Legendary. Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.
