There were only a few minutes left before my turn... I glanced at the paper that listed the order of presentations. The topic I had prepared for was slightly different from the one written there. Not only was the title different, but the content listed was also not the one I prepared for... "Did everything I prepared for just go wrong?" The thought almost took my breath away. My heart started pounding rapidly. A wave of panic washed over me. I frantically searched for the original list where the topics were mentioned. Until I found it, my heart raced as if it would burst out of my chest. My preparation was solid. Within moments, I regained my composure and control over my nerves. The panic faded, replaced once again by that excitement—the same that always comes when I stand before a class. Perhaps this has happened to you too— You prepared for one subject, only to realize just before the exam that you had studied the wrong one. But these are passing matters. If we get something wrong today, it’s fine. We can correct it tomorrow. But there is one exam where getting it wrong is not an option. You and I will be questioned about our lives—how we spent them? We will be asked about our wealth—how we earned it, where we spent it? Time is passing swiftly. What little remains will soon be gone. So, let’s prepare for that exam… Before it’s too late.
