There are only three Central Hospitals: Chitungwiza Sally Mugabe in Harare Mpilo in Bulawayo This means that if you're involved in an accident outside of Harare or Bulawayo, you may face significant challenges. For example, if you're seriously injured in Masvingo, you'll need to be transferred 350km to Harare by ambulance - at your own expense. Private hospitals like Parirenyatwa charge $2000/R40k for ICU admission, valid for only 3 days. Government hospitals often have full ICUs, and you'll still need to pay for treatment. Additionally, you'll need to purchase essential items like drips, bandages, and medication from pharmacies, as hospitals often don't have them.
