*Radio and climate change*, This is the theme of the 14th celebration of #worldradioday, Proclaimed in 2011 by the Member States of #unesco and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 as the United Nations International Day, February 13 has become #wrd 2025 marks a pivotal year for climate change. In accordance with the Paris Agreement, if humanity wants to limit global warming to 1.5°C, greenhouse gas emissions must peak that year at the latest, before starting to decline. Radio is a privileged space for raising awareness about climate change, environmental issues and natural disasters, in short, an educational space, hence the efforts of broadcasters to equip citizens with the skills needed to better understand and deal with the climate crisis. #unesco #kongogreen #radio #environment
