*MASSIVE PROJECTS WITHIN JALINGO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL:* _Kudos to the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Aminu Jauro Hassan_ Local governments in Nigeria, particularly in Taraba State, have long struggled to fulfill their true purpose. For years, they were largely reduced to salary payment centers - a scenario often described as merely "sharing the national cake" at the grassroots level. However, today, the narrative has changed under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas. With his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, local governments have been revitalized and empowered to carry out their constitutionally mandated responsibilities. A clear example of this transformation is evident in Jalingo Local Government Council, where the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Aminu Jauro Hassan, is diligently executing His Excellency’s development agenda through massive projects across the ten (10) wards of the council. There is no ward in Jalingo Local Government without an ongoing project. Our assessment captured numerous people-oriented projects initiated by the Executive Chairman, including: Construction of culverts Resuscitation and installation of new boreholes across all wards Construction of drainage systems Renovation of clinics Supply of exercise books to schools Construction and provision of chairs and desks for schools Construction of public toilets Comprehensive renovation of offices within the LG Secretariat Establishment of state-of-the-art Women Development Centers Empowerment programs for women and youths through skills acquisition Free JAMB registration for over 300 indigent students of Jalingo These projects are significantly improving the lives of the people. The construction of culverts and drainage systems is helping to control devastating erosion. The installation and repair of boreholes are addressing waterborne diseases. The renovation of clinics is enhancing healthcare delivery. The provision of educational materials and infrastructure is creating a more conducive learning environment. Additionally, the improvement of office spaces fosters productivity, while new market structures are boosting the local economy. Indeed, Hon. (Dr.) Aminu Jauro Hassan’s leadership is reshaping Jalingo Local Government into a model of grassroots development.
