🚨 *ZERO TOLERANCE OPERATION REPORT – FRANSCHHOEK* 🚨 📅 Date: Sunday, 9 February 2025 📍 Location: Franschhoek CBD & surrounding areas The Municipality's Rapid Response Unit (RRU) conducted targeted crime prevention patrols in the Franschhoek area last night, leading to three arrests for serious offenses: 🔹 Arrest 1 – A male suspect was caught carrying dangerous weapons, allegedly intending to take revenge after a prior altercation. He was arrested and detained at Franschhoek SAPS. 🔹 Arrest 2 – A suspect was apprehended on the R45 in the CBD for possession of illegal substances. He was arrested and taken to Franschhoek SAPS. 🔹 Arrest 3 – A suspect was found in Groendal carrying a knife and stolen copper infrastructure supplies. He was immediately arrested and handed over to SAPS. 🚔 Additional Action: During the operation, RRU pursued a fourth suspect who fled while armed. The chase led to a confrontation with community members, but officers ensured the situation remained under control without any injuries or incidents.
