*💔Lives Lost In Naivasha Plane Crash* Tragedy struck on Thursday, Jan 30, when a light aircraft crashed in Kedong Ranch, Naivasha, resulting in the deaths of a married couple, Marcus Dunn and Anne Dunn. The couple was returning to their farm in Loldia, Naivasha, when the accident occurred. The aircraft, a Cessna 185 with registration number 5Y-BVL, had departed from Wilson Airport in Nairobi at approximately 1:19 PM, en route to Mbaruk. The crash occurred around 5:14 PM. Rescue operations faced significant challenges due to poor visibility caused by fog and the difficult terrain of the crash site. It took police and rescuers more than 6 hours to reach the site and recover the bodies, along with personal effects, including a firearm. Naivasha DCIO Isaac Kiama indicated that poor visibility might have contributed to the crash. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has initiated an investigation into the incident and is coordinating with relevant authorities to gather further details and facilitate response efforts.
