At the grassroots level, small actions by communities can create a ripple effect that leads to a positive shift for our environment.
Following the successful ERO clean-up activities along the Kandisi River, an insightful community engagement session was held yesterday with residents, leaders, and environmental stakeholders to create a platform for sharing experiences, challenges, and lessons in maintaining a clean environment. The session facilitated discussions on long-term #wastemanagement strategies, including the importance of segregation at source and exploring collaborations with Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) and other entities.
The event was graced by a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from Nema Kenya, Africa Water Ambassadors, Community Forest Association, The Water Resources Users Association – Ngong Hills, and local leadership such as the Chief and Assistant Chief of Oloolua, as well as Village Administrators. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7298324780305334273
