KDSP is looking to hire a Life Skills and Academics Instructor for their Skills Development Department. Job Responsibilities: Incumbent will be responsible to: ● Conduct Life Skills and Academics classes for KDSP’s Education for Life Program ● Develop Monthly Lesson Plans for all Life Skills and Academics classes. ● Design and update Life Skills and Academics curriculum. ● Conduct assessments for each student by developing Individualized Education Plans (IEP). ● Maintain monthly Student Learning Outcomes for each student in Academics and Life Skills. ● Manage and maintain Education for Life programs. ● Attend Down Syndrome sensitivity training and teacher’s training organized by KDSP and/or KDSP partners each quarter. ● Formulate home plans and take updates from students. ● Create a progress report for each student on a monthly basis. ● Any other tasks assigned by the management. Job Specifications: ● Minimum Bachelors in Psychology, Special Education or Education from an HEC recognized institution ● 1-2 years or more of work experience in a similar field. ● Ability to multitask, identify priorities, manage pressure and meet deadlines. ● Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). ● Must possess an engaging personality with the confidence to represent the organization and the can-do attitude, demonstrating initiative. ● Ability to work in fixed hours (25 hours per week). ● Ability to work with students with special needs.
