Oh it’s Sunday…………
Once, a master lived with his disciple. After some time, a second disciple joined them. The new disciple quickly learned more than the first, which made the first disciple feel neglected. One day, the first disciple asked the master, “Why have you taught him more than me, though I’ve been with you longer?”
The master replied, “First, listen to a story.”
He began, “A traveller, feeling thirsty in the hot sun, came across a well but found no bucket or rope, so he left without drinking. Later, another traveller arrived, also thirsty. He searched around, found a bucket, and made a rope from long grass. He quenched his thirst and moved on.”
The master then asked, “Which traveller do you think was more thirsty?”
The disciple answered, “The second traveller, because he worked hard to get the water.”
The master smiled and said, “Exactly. The second traveller's greater thirst drove him to find a way. Similarly, your fellow disciple’s thirst for knowledge is greater, which makes him work harder.”
The disciple understood and from that day, he began to work harder.
In life, the desire to learn is essential for success. The more you thirst for knowledge, the more you will achieve. Learning is a lifelong process and can come from many sources. It enhances your quality of life, boosts confidence, and keeps you moving forward.
Have a fulfilling and productive weekend!
