In only a few months into my First Year, and after conversing with hundreds of college-mates, interacting with them as well as working with them on different things, I can tell you that - people often love your advice, but fail to grasp it, so don't feel bad, (advice only if they've asked you to) but rather it's about this simple quote - "Don't tell people how to do a thing, tell them what to do and let them astonish you by their results." But always remember - there is a thin line in telling what to do and giving commands. When telling becomes commands, you lose friendship, but when telling becomes guidance, you build trust.
