ZETDC covered the costs of Nothando's funeral, including the coffin, food, hearse, and a bus for mourners traveling from Beitbridge. A family member mentioned that ZETDC officials met with them after a news report about the tragedy. The initial meeting was moved to avoid public anger. “They offered to pay all the funeral expenses, which they did,” the relative said.
