👀 *📰 ZACC Launches Fraud Investigation into Magaya's Diploma*
The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has initiated a fraud investigation into Walter Magaya, a self-styled prophet and founder of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministry, over the authenticity of a diploma he submitted to ZIFA and the Harare High Court.
At the center of the investigation is a marketing diploma purportedly obtained from the University of South Africa (UNISA), which the university claims was never awarded to Magaya.
UNISA stated, "Any certificate he produces which he claims to be from UNISA is therefore fraudulent".
Magaya had submitted a copy of the diploma, certified by Waterfalls police, to argue that he had a higher qualification than the O' Level passes required for the ZIFA job.
However, UNISA denied having Magaya as a student or graduate, saying, "UNISA has no record of Walter Magaya as a student or graduate".
ZACC has requested documents from ZIFA and the Judicial Service Commission, seeking records of Magaya's High Court application challenging ZIFA's decision to bar him from the elections.
The investigation was launched on January 31, with ZACC seeking to verify the authenticity of Magaya's diploma.
If found guilty, Magaya could face charges of fraud, perjury, and forgery, according to legal expert Tawanda Zindoga.
Zindoga emphasized, "Submitting false credentials not only undermines the integrity of the institution but also erodes public trust". 👀👀👀
