*30-Day Self Improvement Ideas:*
Ramadan Mubarak! These are 30 ideas for the 30 Days of Ramadan and after to aid us on our success in this world and the next.
1. Spend 15 to 30 minutes with the Holy Qur’an.
2. Memorize one verse each day (e.g Surah Al-Mulk with 30 verses).
3. Read one page from the Beloved Prophet’s Seerah/Shama’il.
4. Learn/Read one Islamic/Fiqh Ruling.
5. Write/Recite Durood Sharif at least 11 times.
6. Arrange some food/money/cloths/medicine/shelter for the poor.
7. Spread Salam to those you know and those you don’t know.
8. Spend more time with your family. Help your mother/wife/sister/daughter with household chores.
9. Teach/Share a verse of the glorious Qur’an or the noble Hadith to your family.
10. Meet and greet people with a smiling face.
11. Remain silent for each time you are about to speak and realize you have nothing good to say.
12. For each time you gossip about someone (may Allah forbid), repent and make sincere du’a for the person and give charity.
13. If you’re about to complain, say Al Hamdu Lillah; remember and thank Allah for His blessings.
14. Control your anger. Try to remain calm as much as possible.
15. Arrange water for the birds and animals.
16. Lower your gaze and look away when your gaze accidentally falls on something sinful.
17. Say JazakAllah (may Allah reward you) for something gifted to you or good done to you.
18. Pray at least 2 Rakat of Tahajjud (night prayers).
19. Repeat the Istigfar; constantly ask for forgiveness for your sins and errors.
20. Supplicate to Allah sincerely for the entire Ummah when breaking your fast.
21. Invite someone to Islam.
22. Memorize 3 of 99 names of Allah and His Beloved Prophet.
23. Visit a relative or neighbor or someone sick from your family and friends.
24. Visit the Awliya/Ulama and sit in their blessed company.
25. Teach someone a beneficial skill or knowledge you have.
26. Baby sit for at least half an hour so a busy mother can take a nap.
27. Serve Sahari and Iftar meals at the Masjid or community center or even an individual.
28. Before going to sleep, empty your heart of all grudges.
29. Wake/Invite your friend, sibling or spouse for Tahajjud/Sahari/Iftar/Prayers.
30. Be kind and compassionate to the creation of Allah Almighty.
