Addictions and Bad decisions
February 26, 2025 at 06:45 PM
This is addiction stripped down to its rawest, ugliest truth. Not "just one drink to chill," and sure as hell no something you control. This is a set of chains wrapped around your life, dragging you under while you pretend you've got it handled.
It never starts with chains. It starts with "I need a break" "Just one more." Then it turns into every night. Then every morning. Then you realize you're not drinking for fun — you're drinking because you have to. Because without it, everything falls apart. And suddenly, you're a slave to the thing you thought was helping you escape.
You think you've got it handled? It's handling you. That bottle owns you now — your thoughts, your time, your future. It's robbing you blind, and all it's leaving behind is pain and regret. It'll take your family, your health, your dignity, and when it's done draining every ounce of life out of you, it'll bury you.
Let that sink in. This bottle isn't your friend. It's the slowest form of suicide. You can lie to yourself and pretend it's not that bad — or you can wake up and realize it's killing you and everything around you.
Here's the truth. You can break these chains. You're not stuck unless you choose to stay stuck. It'll hurt. It'll push you to your limit. But it'll also save your life — BREAK FREE!
Put it down. Get up. Fight back. You've got something bigger waiting for you on the other side — if you're willing to do the work to get it.
