*Live Lovingly like God* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 44 (13/02/2025)_ > *Ephesians 5:1-2 (NKJV) “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”* The world desperately needs love and is looking for it, albeit in the wrong places. The Bible shows us that God is love, and therefore, if we would communicate God's kind of love, we need to be imitators of God. Here are three things to note about the God kind of love: 1. *The God kind of love is selfless.* The God kind of love is completely selfless; it constantly seeks the well-being of others. The Bible says a lot about this kind of love. The Bible shows us how God demonstrated His selflessness in love for us in Romans 5:8 (NKJV): “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” One of the most important features of love is unselfishness. 2. *The God kind of love is impartial.* God is love and shows no partiality. The Bible says in Acts 10:34 (NKJV), “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality’”. As sons of God, we seek to be like God. Our walk in love can readily be seen by how we treat people, especially those who cannot do us any good in return for the good we have done them. 3. *The God kind of love forgives.* Love forgives; it does not hold a grudge. The Bible says in Colossians 3:13 (NKJV), “Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” We have many opportunities every day to get offended. However, each time we must make a choice to forgive. If we choose to live by our feelings, we will never flow in this all-important virtue of love. God is love, and He forgives. If we want to be like Him, then we must walk in the same. _Precious one, true love is found in God; and His love is selfless, impartial, and forgiving. Therefore, let us live lovingly at all times._ *Prayer: * Heavenly Father, shed Your love abroad my heart by the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ name.
