And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬_* “God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it. Marriage was conceived and born in the mind of God.” – Max Lucado Marriage is from God, is of God and is godly. Any other thing that opposes or seeks to nullify the concept of marriage is ungodly, devilish or man-made. Marriage has been a common tradition among different tribes and races of people who have never known each other for centuries. Since marriage was not instituted by man, man cannot set it aside without being guilty before God. Someone has said, "The Bible opens and closes with a wedding." This shows how important marriage is in God's mind. And like every other good thing God makes, the devil seeks to destroy it. Here are three enemies of marriage we must stand against strongly: 1.⁠ *⁠Satan’s direct attacks.* ‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬ "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Satan is a thief that launches direct attacks on families and marriages; firstly, by generally denigrating the idea of marriage in the world's mind and secondly, by causing problems in the marriages of individuals, especially believers. To enjoy the fullest blessing of marriage, we must be resolute against the enemy and give him no place in our marriages. We must drive him out of our homes together with all the problems he brings. 2.⁠ ⁠*Sin’s Attraction.* ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭(EASY‬‬) “When a man and a woman have married each other, they must each respect the marriage. Husbands and wives must only have sex with each other. God will punish anyone who has sex with another person's husband or wife. He will punish anyone who has sex in a wrong way.”‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Marriage is to be honoured by all, especially in the area of sex. The allurement of sexual sins has always been an enemy of marriages through practices such as cohabitation, adultery, hookups, pornography, no-fault divorce and spouse swapping. Not forgetting all the homosexuality/gender confusion-related issues. These things, God will judge. So, let us protect our marriages from these. 3.⁠ *⁠Society’s abandonment.* In Genesis 19:1-28, the people in Lot's day abandoned God's purpose of marriage to fulfil their own lust. The result was the judgment of God. Unlike Sodom, which had only one righteous Lot, we have a lot of righteous people in town today, but the silence of the majority will make the minority who speak for the devil gain ground. If society abandons teaching its young ones morality and the sacredness of marriage, the devil will be happy to do that for us. But we must speak up to protect the blessedness of proper family life. _Precious one, let's remember the great blessings reserved for godly marriages and great judgment against any form of perversion. May the Lord bless you with a pure, honourable and prosperous marriage._ *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blessing of marriage. Lord, let Your glory and purpose be manifested in the marriage of Your people and let the devil be bound, in Jesus' name.
