*Question:*
I would like to know that can we do Walima 10 days or in between somewhere after nikah. Please reply as soon as possible.

*Bismillahi Ta'ala*
*Walaikum Assalam Warahmatullah,*
Walima is the marriage banquet hosted from the side of groom after the nikah is consummated. It is a Sunnah practice wherein Rasulullah ﷺ encouraged to slaughter for it, even if it were one sheep.
Some scholars state that Walima should be held at the earliest after consummation of the marriage. Others suggest it may take place at the time of the marriage contract (nikah) or both at the time of the contract and after consummation.
Some of the Maliki scholars say that Walima should be held within seven days. The preferred opinion is that its timing depends on the financial condition of the groom.
Mashayekh in Hanafiya say that while there is flexibility in timing, the Sunnah practice is to conduct the Walima soon after consummation, *ideally within the first three days* after consummation, without unnecessary delay.
