[صيد الخاطر ص٦٥] https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VafiDBb90x2o78a5Yl1o > Ibn Al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: > "The disobedient person may see their body and wealth unharmed, and think that there is no punishment. However, they are unaware of the punishment that has already been inflicted upon them. > The wise ones have said: 'Sin after sin is the punishment for sin, and good deed after good deed is the reward for good deeds.' > Perhaps the immediate punishment is spiritual, as some of the Israelite scholars said: 'O Lord! How often I disobey You, yet You do not punish me!' He was told: 'How often I punish you, yet you are unaware! Have I not deprived you of the sweetness of intimate prayer with Me?' > Whoever reflects on this type of punishment will find it lurking everywhere. For example, someone may have looked at something they shouldn't have, and as a result, was deprived of the insight of their inner vision. Or, someone may have spoken improperly, and as a result, was deprived of the purity of their heart. Or, someone may have eaten something doubtful, and as a result, was plunged into darkness, deprived of the blessings of nighttime prayer, and the sweetness of intimate prayer, and so on. *This is something that those who reflect on their own souls are aware of. On the other hand, those who fear Allah will find a good reward for their piety, both immediately and in the future." [Sayd Al-Khater, p. 65]*
