*WORD POWER TODAY* *8TH FEBRUARY 2025* *GOD IS THE ONLY SOURCE FOR YOUR FINANCES* “Yes, God made all things, and everything continues through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36 (NCV) *MESSAGE* The Bible teaches that God is the source of our finances. He is the one who provides for our needs. What does this mean? It means that instead of looking to your employer or your savings account for financial security, look to God. Don’t look to anyone or anything other than God to provide for your needs. Let me illustrate it this way: When you turn on the water, the water doesn’t actually come from the faucet. It comes through the faucet. The water actually comes from a reservoir or a well, and the way you happen to receive it is through the faucet. In the same way, the income that God wants to give you may come through a job or through something or someone else. But the source is always God. Romans 11:36 says, “Yes, God made all things, and everything continues through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (NCV) You don’t need to worry about which faucet God uses to supply your needs. God can turn off one faucet, just as easily as he can turn on another. If you lose one job, God can give you another. Your job or bank account isn’t your source. God alone is your source. It’s not your responsibility to figure out how God’s going to provide. Your responsibility is to ask. The Bible says in James 4:2, “You do not have because you do not ask God” (NIV). God wants you to worry less and ask more. Worry less and ask more. Instead of worrying, pray about everything. Worry is a warning light. It reveals the places where you aren’t trusting God. When you start to worry, stop yourself and start talking to God instead. Ask him to reveal to why you may not be trusting him and ask him for help to trust him more. If God has already solved your biggest problem, everything else is small by comparison. If God loved you enough to send Jesus to die for your sins, don’t you think he loves you enough to help you with your finances? There’s no area of your life that God is not interested in. He already knows what you need, but he still wants you to ask him for it. Instead of worrying, pray about everything. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (NIV). Trust God as your source and supply. True blessing comes from trusting him fully. *TALK IT OVER* How have you seen God provide for you in the past? What “faucets” did he use? Why does worry reveal a lack of trust in God? In what area do you need God to help you stop worrying and start trusting him more? *BIBLE READING TODAY* *EXODUS 16* *EXODUS 17* *EXODUS 18* *DAILY WORD OF FAITH CONFESSION* Father, I thank You for this new day. I declare that I am blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by God. I walk in divine health, sickness and disease have no power over me (Isaiah 53:5). I have wisdom for every decision today (James 1:5). I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). I prosper in all that I do, everything I touch turns to success today (Psalm 1:3). No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). I have favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
