*WORD POWER TODAY* *FEBRUARY 11, 2025* *WHAT MANNER OF LOVE* Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” 1 John 3:1 *MESSAGE* The love of God is beyond human comprehension. It is a love that defies logic, surpasses conditions, and remains unshaken by our flaws. John, the beloved apostle, marveled at this divine love, exclaiming, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us.” This is not an ordinary love; it is a love that transforms, redeems, and grants us the highest privilege of being called children of God. Consider this: God, the Creator of the universe, calls you His child! He does not treat you as a stranger or servant but as a beloved son or daughter. This love is not earned by merit, nor is it given as a reward for good behavior. It is freely bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ. Because of this love, the world may not understand us. Just as it rejected Christ, it may reject us. But that should not discourage us. Our identity is not rooted in the world’s approval but in the unshakable love of God. This love assures us of eternal life, gives us confidence in prayer, and fills our hearts with peace in times of trouble. If God loves us this much, how should we respond? We should love Him in return by obeying His commandments, walking in holiness, and loving others as He has loved us. His love should be the driving force behind our actions, thoughts, and relationships. *PRAYER:* Father, I stand in awe of Your amazing love. Thank You for calling me Your child. Help me to walk in this love daily and extend it to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen. *CONFESSION:* I am loved by God. I am His child.
